As you can tell from the title, today is a day of good news. First, the neurologist has assured me that, in his professional opinion, there is nothing wrong with me. Just your typical high blood pressure/exertion headaches. Brought on by lifting weights. If I can deal with the pain, I can continue to get in shape. There is no risk of anything going wrong. He said it is possible that I have a Dural Tear . If this is the case, it should heal on it's own and present no more problems. Being a military doctor, he has chosen a more conservative approach than a civilian might. I will be having an MRI sometime this month just to be 100% sure, but he said my history and symptoms show that, in all likelihood, there will be no lasting effects.
Next, in case you just got back from Burma, the Michigan State Spartans are playing a very important game tonight for the entire state of Michigan. It's time to shed all maize and blue and don the green and white for just one night. Between the "Big 3", Kwame Kilpatrick, and 6 inches of snow on April 6th, I think the mitten is due some good Karma for a change. So, with that in mind, GO GREEN GO WHITE. Make all of us, regardless of fan affiliation, proud.
Finally, it's opening mother f'n day y'all! Tiger baseball is back. I really couldn't care less where they finished last year, the year before, or this year. It's Tiger baseball!! Grandy, Polly, Miggy, and Maggs. JV... uh...JV...and...yeah! MIGGY! I will be fliping channels like a crazy surfing penguin tonight. Tigers, Spartans, and oh yeah...the Wings are on TV too. Holy crap I am in Nirvana.
I'll be back in a couple days. Until then, cheer loud, cheer proud, and be good.

Thursday update
Just a quick update for all my friends and family. And on that subject, I truly consider myself blessed to have you people in my life. Thank you for all your thoughts and well wishes. Sometimes living here in San Antonio, I feel so separated from everyone. (Except my new family of course) ;) But the last couple of days has really reconnected me with family and even some friends I hadn't talked to in years. Getting well wishes from someone like that is really pretty damn cool.
So...update...right. The post LP (Lumbar Puncture) headaches have subsided for the most part. I will be back to work tomorrow and I can't tell you how excited that makes me. That sounds like sarcasm, but daytime TV sucks....bad. I have developed a slight case of cabin fever and I feel like that commercial where the guy reaches the end of the internet. "Please turn back". I can only play so much online poker with this raging case of adult ADD. SO, work actually seems like a refreshing change. Monday is my appointment with the neurologist where hopefully they will find out what is going on in my head. I will let everyone know what they find as soon as I get home. So, everyone have a terrific weekend. Don't think of me anymore. I'm good. Back to normal even. Watch the Spartans go the distance and get ready for another baseball season. I will enjoy my Missions/Padres game tonight and back to back hockey nights this weekend. Monday, we can get back to real life.
I love you all. Some of you it's real love. Others, it's that drunk "I love you man" love. But it's love just the same. Stay safe and keep sending those thoughts my way.
